At Home Harmony (athomeharmony.com) is a team-based, home-centered care model for medically complex older adults that supports patients in private homes and senior living communities.
We are experiencing growth an expansion across our lines of business and with the different Medicare value-based care programs and therefore looking for a dynamic analytical professional with a financial and billing focus to join our team.
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Financial and Billing Analyst. This role combines responsibilities in financial analysis with key duties in billing for in-home healthcare services for seniors in primary care, long-term care pharmacy, and personal care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in these areas, with proficiency in reporting, data analysis, business processes, and compliant billing practices.
Responsibilities
- Perform financial analysis, including but not limited to revenue analysis, expense management, and financial forecasting.
- Prepare and analyze financial and clinical performance reports, highlighting trends, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Manage billing processes, ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims.
- Utilize ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS coding systems to review and process medical claims.
- Oversee revenue cycle management, including claims submission, adjudication, and denial management.
- Resolve billing issues and inquiries from patients, insurers, and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and healthcare billing guidelines.
Qualifications & Skills
Our ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years experience in medical billing within a primary care practice setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in ICD-10 and CPT coding systems.
- Strong understanding of revenue cycle management, insurance processes, and medical claims adjudication.
- Advanced skills in Excel, good understanding of data model concepts, and familiarity with SQL for data analysis and reporting. Exposure with databases a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with a proactive and positive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial and billing information.
- Collaborative team player with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a self-starter attitude.
- Experience with healthcare EMR and billing software (Athena experience preferred).
- Certification in Healthcare Billing and Coding (e.g., CPC), preferred
- Analytical approach to financial and billing tasks.
